Techniques like COLMAP combined with NeRF or Gaussian Splatting pipelines can reconstruct textured meshes from unordered images, while newer diffusion-based methods aim to fill occlusions and infer plausible geometry. However, fully automated, high-fidelity, and watertight STL exports with engineering-grade accuracy remain challenging, especially for reflective, transparent, or complex organic surfaces.
