The jury found that while artificial intelligence is a capable coding sidekick, it still stumbles when asked to stand alone in the developer’s chair. One juror believed the machines were ready to ship production systems solo, while another felt they excelled only as collaborators, and the rest were content to watch from the gallery. Ruling: “AI can type the code, but it still needs a human co-signer before the pull request gets merged.”
