LeetCode hard, system-design walkthrough, the works. The traditional whiteboard interview is dead-or-dying because of this.
AI systems have made significant progress in generating code and solving programming challenges, but their ability to solve coding interview questions at the FAANG-hire level is still limited. While AI can learn from large datasets of code and generate solutions to specific problems, it often struggles with complex, open-ended, or ambiguous questions that require a deep understanding of computer science concepts and software engineering principles. Additionally, AI systems may not be able to provide the same level of explanation, justification, or defense of their solutions that a human candidate would be expected to provide in a real interview. As a result, AI is not yet capable of replacing human candidates in the FAANG hiring process.
